Saint Mary’s School faculty members bring the mission of the school to life; creating classrooms that embody and nurture intellectual character, communication and critical thinking. Faculty members report to the Dean of Teaching and Learning through their academic department chair. Faculty members are responsible for all aspects of the classes they teach, for participation in various departmental and school groups and endeavors, and for participating as chaperone or sponsor or in some other capacity in aspects of the student life program.
We are searching for a candidate to teach Visual Arts courses at a variety of levels from foundational to honors portfolio, including Graphic Design and Digital Photography, a course that culminates in making the school yearbook. In addition to being well versed in graphic design and digital photography, the ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, will need to be familiar with a variety of media including; drawing and painting, printmaking, and 2D Design and be capable of teaching the girls project management skills.
The candidate will be working in a dynamic Visual and Performing Arts department, will work under the direction of the VPA Chair and the Director of Visual Arts to develop and maintain Visual Arts curriculum as well as maintain departmental standards.
